Church Plants - New York

JR Vassar, pastor of Apostles' Church in New York, sent this update:

By the grace of God, Apostles Church is healthy and growing. We have two growing congregations, one in the Upper East Side of Manhattan and the other near the East Village in Manhattan. Our East Village venue is an amazing cathedral with a rich history and beautiful architecture that has helped create a reverent atmosphere for our worship gatherings. We have experienced a flood of new people with 33 people signed up for January membership class. We have also experienced a flood of generosity from our people. In addition, Advent was a great time for our people to reflect on the generosity of God and extend that same generosity to others. On December 16 we handed out $10 bills to everyone in the congregation and told them to use it to bless someone in need during the Christmas season. We created a blog to let people share their stories. They have been amazing testimonies to God’s presence in the City through His people. You can read the stories at www.mytendollarbill.blogspot.com.
